This website is an independent information source on adult education in the South Africa. It collects together publications, papers, reports, documents and comments on adult education and related topics mainly from South Africa and by South African authors. The original collection was compiled by John Aitchison, previously Director of the Centre for Adult Education of the University of Natal (later KwaZulu-Natal).
At this stage it is limited to an annotated bibliographic archive of documents from 1926 to 2025 and is still in the process of compilation. It will continue to be updated and additional material on adult education organisations and adult educators will gradually be added.
